This interview is really rather annoying. Paul and Amy's comments are interspersed with clips from random movies which correspond somehow with what they said (and inexplicably there is a long "ad"). Barry Z is obviously a big fan of Amy's and kind of ignores Paul. Still fairly amusing but not as good as other interviews and it's really long due to all the clips.

Leonard Lopate Show
October 23rd, 2003

An interview with Paul, Amy Sedaris and Stephen Colbert. They talk about how they ended up choosing the subject matter for their book deal. It's a pledge day for the radio station and Paul gives suggestions for gifts for donators and talks about how he waits until the last minute to donate as well as reasons why people don't donate. They talk about how improv was used for coming up with the Wigfield characters for their voices and personalities. They mention how they think they are being edgy with some of their ideas, but sometimes real life surpasses them, like the all white production of Raisin in the Sun really put on in Maine. They also read a skit they wrote in 1994, "Bottomless Lake" which appeared on Exit 57. This is a really good interview in my opinion, Paul talks quite a bit. Thanks to uluviel for the mp3

Majority Report on Air America
December 16th, 2005

Paul is a guest for the entire 2 hour (!) duration of this show, hosted by friend Janeane Garofolo but he isn't chatty for a good portion of it. I had written down the times he pipes up, but lost it so you're on your own. Paul first comes in at 4:19.The best part of the segment is when Stephen Colbert calls in at 18:20 & goes until 29:50, which is the main reason to listen. He sings King of Glory and talks about his pundit character and his "bio diesel" car.

Listening to the whole thing is for the more industrious fan since Paul just interjects little quips in between other people talking. If you don't like lefty radio you will not have a good time. Matthew Modine is the guest for the interview segment. (update: this file size is now much smaller) Thanks to airamericaplace.com for providing the download.

Salon.com Interview
June, 20th, 2006

This is mostly an interview with Amy Sedaris, but Paul comes in during the middle of it and talks for a bit (at 2:38). He teases Amy for not being able to remember that the interviewer's name is also Amy and talks about whether anything has been "off limits" in terms of the SWC humor, how he likes Jellineck for his vulnerability, and how misfits don't have the luxury of people assuming that their life is easy and discusses Stephen Colbert's White House Correspondent Speech. Paul and Amy's interaction is adorable.

AFI Q&A with Paul and Amy Sedaris
June 27th, 2006

A podcast from the Q&A from the AFI screening of Strangers With Candy. This is a very high spirited Q&A, Paul and Amy tease each other a lot. They talk about issues with censoring during the series, how the movie is different than the show. It seems to be cut and pasted, so some of the questions from the audience aren't in there and it jumps around some. This is still very fun and entertaining regardless.

A FANTASTIC interview with Paul and Amy on the Marc Maron Show. He knew them when Exit 57 was on the air so there is a friendliness to the interview that is often lacking. They talk about using visual gags for the movie (like the random sauna scene), about the inspiration for Mr. Jellineck, getting their famous co-stars for the SWC movie, Stephen Colbert's rising fame and more.
